Social Security Has Evolved Over The Years.
Friday, December 5th, 2008Back when it was first introduced as part of the new deal plan of the 1930s, social security was viewed as a mere supplement to help insure the healthy financial retirement of its beneficiaries.
To this day, the program still stands on those principles, but has also evolved to include many more benefits for those who qualify.
For example, included in social security benefits under today’s structure are both physical and mental disability benefits.
In order to qualify, applicants must make a formal Social Security Appeal to the administration and then wait for approval.
If approved, monthly benefits are delivered immediately and indefinitely.
