There are many instruments of investments and real estate investment trusts is one of the high yielding investment instruments. They have a corpus of investment and the money is used for real estate development. Fund managers managing the fund invest the money directly into property or buy mortgages. Real Estate Investment Trusts receive special concessions from the government and are able to offer high rates of return to investors. Equity trusts, mortgage trusts and hybrid trusts are the three kinds of trusts.
