How can I save money during this recession. Im 15 and have no job. I don’t plan on getting a job yet since I am still in high school. I might get a summer job, but that’s too far ahead. For now, do you have any tips for saving money?

      - If there are any shops around that are closing down, then shop in them as prices will be much lower then in other places.
      - Shop around to find the best buy.
      - don’t give into the urge of buying things that you don’t need.

In what way are you making money? If you receive an allowance then i would say just say to talk to your parents and have them put it in a bank account for you. If you make money other ways, small jobs for parents, neighbors, etc., then you could simply just save it in a jar or bank account. As for spending it just buy what you need not what you want. Food, Clothes. Do let yourself spend on some fun items though games, movies, dinner with friends. You are 15 and you still have a while to worry about your finances. Glad to hear that you are mature enough to realize you will need to though. Just work hard at school and it will pay off in the end. Good Luck

Buy as much stuff as you can online. Get your parents to do the same. Things online are usually cheaper and they have the Best reward rogrmas. Even things on Walmart.com are cheaper than the physical stuff.

Tell your parents to use tax software:

Hey I’m 15 now and have a small part time job. I know it’s hard, I just came back from vacation and have a shortage of money! Some tips are:

-Put all your money into a bank with high interest return rate
-Try to eat at home rather than eating out
-With all your income of funds, half it, (half into your savings account and half for you to spend)
-Instead of public transport, you can walk or bike/run. Great exercise and saves money.
-Search online for those discount coupons which would help you save some bucks!

Remember, keep saving regularly and you will get very far!!
