This morning I went on what I thought would be a typical, boring drive to work. My husband was in the passenger seat beside me, and our three month old son was in his car seat in the back. We were driving along on the freeway when suddenly an old woman pulled into the emergency vehicle space between the Eastbound and Westbound lanes. She didn't even bother to look, but swung around into the right lane where we were, directly in front of us. I yelled, "I hope you have accident insurance!" as I swerved around to the right, barely missing a guardrail. My heart was thumping as we continued our daily commute.
