I think the time has passed when focusing on
Green Investing meant achieving sup-par results. I see green investments as the next big boom, and now is a great time to get in.
I’m especially excited about the potential of Socially Responsible Mutual Funds. Green enterprise and eco-friendly business practices are absolutely essential to our future.
I already vote with my wallet by paying attention to the products I buy, and cutting down on waste. It’s time to vote with my portfolio as well.

The Best Laid Plans

Anyone opening a 529 accounts for college savings should know that there are two different versions of these plans.  If you choose to select the option of getting a prepaid plan, then you can pay in advance for either all or some of the cost of getting schooling in your state, and they may perhaps be able to serve out-of-state institutions as well, plus private colleges and universities.  Choosing a savings plan means that the account holder places money into an account which will be invested in mutual funds, etc.  This plan has the look of retirement accounts and the like.  If you’re opening an account with a school of choice, it can only be prepaid, outside of the Independent 529 (a private college plan).

Would it be a dream to believe that we all could on day collectively come together in a mass effort to right all of our credit wrongs. No more worries about late charges, no more bad credit rating repair needed, no more worries about over extending your self financially. I have often said that we as humans seldom learn lessons the easy way. I would absolutely love it if we could learn without the hard part. Youth also plays a role in learning lessons. when your young you are typically stupid, only you don’t know that. It normally takes about 20 years and a truck load of hard lessons learned to figure out that you were not as smart as you thought.

How To Terminate A Simple IRA?

Simple IRA can only be terminated prospectively, beginning no earlier than the next calendar year and contributions must continue till then. To terminate a Simple IRA, the financial agency that has been handling the plan and your employer must be notified in advance.

This simple ira plan is less complex and easier to operate and will certainly prove to be a better bet, than any of the other IRA plans for eligible employees.

Student Debt: 21st Century Plague

August 18th, 2008 | Posted in Finance   Add Comment

The cost of college has skyrocketed in recent years.  Students are facing increasing difficulty in drawing up a good plan for how to repay loans they make take out.  The biggest problem is that kids fresh out of high school often don’t understand the enormity of going tens of thousands in student debt.  Lending companies, interested in making money, gloss over the concept of debt so that it sounds so simple to pay back the loan when it could prove most challenging.  The best thing to do is sit down and research the profession you’re interested in.  How much does it pay for entry-level openings?  How about room for advancement?  Will you be able to afford the monthly payments along with any other debt you may already be in?  Students who plan ahead now will protect themselves later.

Our Past - Rare Coins

In looking at our nation’s currency, I am amazed at the amount of money we have had in our past. In my 38 years, I have yet to see a new form of currency introduced nor an old one retired. In looking at our past we have had such rare coins as the half penny, the two cent coin, the three cent coin, the $10 coin, the $20 coin and so on. One other thing I have noticed is just how much some of these rare coins are worth. Hundreds and up to multiple thousands of dollars are the dollar amount assigned to coins of this nature.

Researching Education Loans For Students With Poor Credit

I’ve recently become interested in
Education Loans for Students with Poor Credit. Research has been troublesome, though, with my less-than-stellar credit score.
I’ve found just about all there is to find online about Sallie Mae No Credit Check Student Loans, I think, and I’m still confused. It’s tough to make the right choice.
The best non-credit based loans are federal government loan programs. Sometimes the colleges themselves offer them as well.
At least I know more now than I did.
Alright - that’s all for now.
